Team working, networking, excellent written language and research skills, a keen interest in public policy, current affairs or a specific strand of the think tank’s work, are essential. At the level of junior researcher, both desk-based research, getting out to meetings and talking to people will be central, but you will probably also have to do a lot of your own administration.
We aim to help, identify and groom potential leaders in India aimed to develop committed change agents for India through a multi-disciplinary programme. CMSS would be happy to take on board such change agents. CMSS is looking for multi-dimensional young men and women who have the capacity to become real agents of change.
We are looking forward to working with a team of change agents who shall be working on an 2-12 month internship project assigned by CMSS as part of the Experiential Learning Module for the year 2013-2014.
The ELM period shall test the capacity of the fellows to work as a team, meet tight deadlines and under work pressure.
The internship shall also require the Interns to divide their time between research and practical work, working from the CMSS set-up in New Delhi.
During the eight month long association the Fellows would be required to provide Research Support for the initiatives on the various themes already mentioned. They would also be expected to manage the on- line presence of the Centre and actively participate in the various activities of the Centre like seminars, lectures. Fellows would also be expected to co- ordinate the activities of the Centre with various organisations associated with its activities.
For the initiative on Gender Security which is scheduled for October 10 or 16, 2013, some of the organisations which are willing to be on board are:
UN Women, India- entity for gender equality and empowerment of women in five key areas including violence against women, peace and security.
UNFPA, India, which promotes the right of every woman to improve her life by advocating for human rights and gender equality and by promoting the understanding of population dynamics.
